Current Projects – May 2012

I am currently working with Arpeggio Films to produce a film on alternative energy. Commissioned by a local church who have recently had a biomass boiler system installed, the film looks and 3 alternative systems currently employed by organisations in Newcastle.

My duties on the film have included the production of motion graphics, copywriting and camera operation.

The Noun Project

To any designers out there I recommend you check out the extremely useful Noun Project website. Their mission is to make available vector graphic for many of the worlds universal symbols that are in the public domain.

It’s a wonderful resource which I find myself using regularly.

Seven Stories Exhibition Now Open

The exhibition I have been working on for Seven Stories (the national home of children’s books) has now opened. A Squash and a Squeeze: sharing stories with Julia Donaldson, explores the life and work of the current children’s laureate Julia Donaldson, author of The Gruffalo.

The exhibition runs until February 2013 so there is plenty of time to pop along if you happen to be in Newcastle.

SEVEN STORIES

I am currently working with Seven Stories, the national home of children’s books, to produce an exciting new exhibition based on the work of Julia Donaldson (author of The Gruffalo). I am developing the audio/visual elements of the exhibition, which will include projections, audio listening posts, TV screens and an interactive jukebox featuring songs written by the author.

The exhibition opens in late March and runs through to February 2013. If you visit Newcastle and you have kids (or just love books) I recommend you pay Seven Stories a visit.

BEACON HILL ARTS

Beacon Hill Arts is an amazing organisation, working with people of all ages and abilities to help them realise their artistic aspirations. I am currently developing a new Beacon Hill Arts website which will showcase their award-winning work and provide visitors with information on how they can get involved.

Voted the UK’s best lottery funded arts project, BHA have won numerous awards for the short films which participants wrote, produced, filmed and starred in themselves.
